The finishing touches on our Routemaster mobile bus bar are here.
We’re coming in for a smooth landing and it looks like we’re only going to be delayed by 1 year………. As per usual with big, new and exciting projects you always tend totally under estimate how much time and money it actually takes. I’ve always been very open with the cost of it because people are always interested to find out what it actually cost me.
So how much does your Routemaster mobile bus bar actually cost you?
The bus was £25000. It was considered to be in good mechanical order and reasonably tidy. It actually turned out to be a good investment because they’re worth a load more now.
The cost of the refurb/build came to roughly 30/35000……..Ouch! I wanted it in a certain way and I got it. To be fair I could’ve spent a load more if hadn’t done so much of the work myself. But I’m very pleased with the overall out come and now I’ve just gotta pray it’ll somehow pay back. Fingers crossed!
Was it worth it………..Ask me in a years time!
I was expecting to take part in music festivals etc etc so I thought adding music would be pointless. Turnes out that was not the case at all. I went ahead and installed them up and downstairs and we’ve virtually used them at every event thus far.
Once all the last of the bits where installed I found myself on a clean up mission to get ready for our first event. I had already booked in a country show to serve Pimms and Champagne to the masses. With one evening to spare I had a good look around and was able to reflect on the journey taken thus far. Little did I know what I was in for…..
